Welcome to our school on the web.
We are a 1 teacher, coeducational school, located in the small township of Aratula. Our school has approximately 22 students enrolled from Prep to 7.
We provide students with a modern, friendly learning environment where each child is encouraged to do their best both academically and socially. Individual needs are catered for in a small, family-like setting and parents are encouraged to become involved in their child’s education.
We are unique in the fact that 2 days per week we are able to split our students into 2 classes (p-2 and 3-7) with the availability of a second teacher. On these days we take advantage of our excellent student/teacher ratio to implement specialised learning programs. We are also ably supported by experienced teacher aides (3) and a range of support and specialist teachers including LOTE (German); Music; PE; Teacher Librarian; Support Teacher Literacy and Numeracy; Support Teacher Students with Disabilities and a Guidance Officer. We also have a teacher who visits every week to focus on Visual Arts and also runs a program for Year 4-7 students which helps to develop their social, emotional and motivational skills.
